Our work in the world
We are called upon by God to be salt and light in the world and to make known the Love of God by proclaiming the message of reconciliation to God and forgiveness of sin through the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. the Bible calls this message the gospel. The Lord has commanded us to “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature”
Mark 16:15 KJV.
Our simple sincere style of Worship
Our desire to honor the Lord and to live lives of obedience to His word are expressed in our simple and sincere manner of life and style of worship.
The Bible declares Jesus Christ, the same, yesterday, today, and forever. We believe biblical Christianity is a treasured heritage that we have received and are responsible to contend for and to pass to the next generation.
Biblical Christianity is not a contemporary experience that moves and changes with the whims of current culture.
For this cause our church services are centered around, prayer, God-honoring music, and sound preaching and teaching of God’s word, to warn the lost, proclaim the way of salvation, and equip believers to live in the victory Christ purchased for them.

Life’s most important question…
We must realize we are all sinners.
Romans 3:10, 23 – “There is none righteous, no, not one… For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;”
Because of our sins, we owe an eternal penalty.
Romans 6:23a – “For the wages of sin is death…”
Because of God’s love for us, Jesus Christ paid our sin debt on the cross.
Romans 5:8 – “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Because Jesus rose from the dead, He can save us from the penalty of our sins.

I believe that what I have today is because someone else before me contended for this once-delivered faith. I was saved while living in western Washington in January 2010 and surrendered to God’s call to the ministry just before moving to North Idaho in 2016. I was asked to serve as an assistant pastor at Zion Baptist Church in September 2019. It was such a blessing to see the two churches merge and to be able to continue to serve. It is with great pleasure that God has planted Good Hope Baptist Church in Athol, Idaho, and has chosen me to lead His flock.
My wife, Keri, and I were married in 2007, and we were blessed with three children. We all are excited to experience the joys of God’s presence as we begin the growth and planting of Good Hope Baptist Church.
